We invite you to attend the 15th European Conference on Reading in Berlin, Germany, August 5 8, 2007. The theme of the Conference, Checkpoint Literacy, reflects both the location of the Conference, and the opportunity it provides to review progress in achieving literacy goals in an ever-changing Europe.

Languages of the Conference

The working language of the conference is English. Presentations may be made in any European language. Abstracts should be submitted in the language in which the presentation is to be made and in English or German. The organizers will not provide translation.

Conference Location

The venue is Humboldt University which is located in the historic heart of Berlin within easy walking distance to major museums like the Pergamonmuseum. Founded in 1810 the Humboldt university is regarded as the "mother of modern universities" .
