Lunch packages for August 6-8, 2007
You can choose between two restaurants. Both are close to the conference location. You cannot mix the offers.
"Cum Laude" is the restaurant on the University campus, the former canteen for the professors. The package includes lunch for three days including a non-alcoholic drink total 22,50 EUR p.p.
"12 Apostel" (www.12-apostel.de) is an Italian restaurant (apprx. 5 min walk). The package includes lunch for three days with mineral water (0,2 l) at the amount of 28,50 EUR p.p.
Events
- The Opening Reception is included in the fee for participants and accompanying persons.
- Conference participants and accompanying persons will be invited to a visit to the Reichstag (German Bundestag) - included in the conference fee.
Monday , August 6,2007, 7 pm. (latest arrival by 6.15)
The visit to the German Bundestag consists of a 45 minute talk on the visitors’ gallery of the plenary chamber and a visit to the dome of the Reichstag Building.
The attendance is free of charge, but only 200 persons can take part.
So, if you want to participate, please register early.
Due to tightened security requirements a list of all participants including surnames, first names and dates of birth must be forwarded to the Bundestag in advance and
valid identity cards or passports with passport photographs have to be brought along.
Detailed information about the regulations will be given at the conference.

- Evening Cruise on the Spree with Berlin Buffet
August 7, 2007
Berlin is a city by the waterside ans has more bridges than Venice. Our 3-hour cruise on the river Spree takes you through the historic parts of Berlin, the new Government quarters up to the Charlottenburg Castle and back to the Berlin Cathedral. Explanations will be in English. A typical Berlin Buffet is included in the offer. 40, - EUR p.p.
- Berlin by bus and on foot
August 8, 2007, 5.30 –7.30 pm
The 2-hour tour starts at the University and takes you by bus to the New City Centre at Postdamer Platz. There you will have a view from the visitor’s platform of the Kollhoff Building, walk to the Holocaust Memorial, the Brandenburg Gate, along the famous Unter den Linden , the old Historic City and ends at the Museum Island near the University.
Tour is in English: 18,- EUR p.p.
- City Tour by Bus
August 8, 2007, 5.30-7.30 pm
For those of you preferring a bus tour we offer „Metropolis Berlin in the change of time“. This guided tour in English takes you to the historic and new attractions in Berlin- Mitte, along the former Wall, the new government quarters and the important museums. 18 EUR pp.
